A multi-brand luxury boutique located within The Commons. Designed for women who want to shop the best brands without traveling to Beverly Hills. A 1400 square foot store that caters to the chicness of Calabasas residents looking for special footwear, handbags, jewelry and accessories.
At the request of the Client, the existing retail shell was remodeled to resemble an upscale fantasy apartment. Free flowing layout gives a comfortable living room feel while encouraging customers to browse products nestled within the custom displays.
Inventory and storage is completely out of sight from the main showroom. Space within the showroom is reserved and custom curated to feature the special inventory of shoes, handbags and accessories.
Gold accents are a defining characteristic of the design. Recessed shadowboxes and subtle backlighting allow shoes and handbags to be featured pieces. Each item has it’s own individual stage, yet remains within a beautifully organized selection of luxury items. The durable finishes provide a strong backdrop for the delicate pieces.
The details within the space are intended as “wow” pieces, geared to encourage customers to pause for pictures and social media shares. It is decorated with a tiger print ottoman, shagreen and chinoiserie-printed wallpaper as well as mauve carpeting. A favorite piece is the sputnik Artemisia chandelier which adds elegance and charm that sets the tone for the entire space.
With so many surprising details, the boutique is truly a one of a kind shopping destination.
A custom marble built-in shelf houses shoes and handbags beautifully.
Featuring brands like Saint Laurent, Gianvito Rossi, Gucci, Alexander Wang and Jimmy Choo, the custom shelving was designed to feature individual pieces of exclusive inventory. Gold and glass were incorporated throughout the shelving design creating a intricate backdrop for the special items.
The velvet pink couches complete the central seating area. Walls were updated to accommodate lighting sconces. Al Hirschfeld artwork featuring Audrey Hepburn is another detail that makes The Kingdom stand out. Whether full of browsing customers, or closed for VIP private shopping, the store feels accessible and comfortable for guests. A discreet-yet casual experience to find the perfect accessory.
